1764, New manual and platoon exercise
|
|
New Manual and Platoon Exercises: with an explanation, published in August 1764 by the order of Edward Harvey, Adjutant General. Of note, most of the exercises indicated the number of motions that the soldier should make in performing those tasks. The explanation of priming and loading indicated that there were fifteen motions, while the various positions gave the number and order of actions when firing. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
