1861? Report of the House Committee on Privileges and Elections regarding the resignation of John Gatewood, a delegate from Shenandoah County because his commanding officer refused to grant him leave. After considering various legal ordinances and laws, the committee concluded that Gatewood should have gotten leave; a demand to General Jackson would be necessary.
