Constitutional Convention Document 12 containing the March 2, 1861 communication from John W Brockenbrough to former President John Tyler and George W. Summers, who served as Virginia Commissioners at the Peace Conference in Washington D.C. in 1861. The author discussed the differences between the Conference plan and that of Crittenden; Brockenbrough supported the latter. Of note, Tyler voted for secession and served in the Confederate legislature. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York Public Library).
