1744-08, Gov. & Council with the Delaware
August 1744 Council with Pennsylvania Governor George Thomas, advisers, the Chief Justice or Speaker of the Assembly, Shick Calamy, Deputy of the Six
Nations, Deputies of the Delaware Indians, and various interpreters, held in Philadelphia. Included in the Council's discussions were the
examination of two Delaware men for the murder of John Armstrong and his men; after examination were were found not to be involved. Also included was a
discussion of the trial of Mushamelon, the necessity that these men were required to testify, the removal of an obstruction across a road, and other relevant
