Doc. No. 93 Report of the Quarter Master General in reply to a resolution of the Senate, asking for information relative to the arms of the State
[Ohio]. February 25, 1840. Niswanger gave a brief history, with statistics, of arms distribution in the state. He had decided to do care and repair
centrally because most companies did not take good care of their equipment. He proposed requiring each company to post a bond before arms were
issued.
