Doc. No. 68 Special report of the Canal Fund Commissioners [Ohio], in reply to a resolution of the House of Representatives, inquiring as to the amount of money loaned by the State, from whom loaned, etc. Beginning in 1825, loans were listed at 5% and 6%. All the money realized either paid interest or paid for canals, but never for railroads. Over $9,000,000 had been spent on canals. Pages 7-14 were financial exhibits for the various years.
