1836 Report and resolutions from the Mississippi legislature regarding the interference of abolitionist groups in non-slaveholding states, which were submitted to the House of Delegates by Virginia Governor Tazewell. The resolutions requested these states enact penal laws to suppress from publishing or otherwise disseminating anti-slavery communications.
