1778 Result of the Convention of Delegates at Ipswich, Essex County, who reviewed the proposed Constitution and form of government of Massachusetts-Bay. These delegates, from Lynn, Salem, Danvers, Wenham, Manchester, Gloucester, Ipswich, Newburyport, Salisbury, Methuen, Boxford and Topsfield, determined that there were eighteen objections; ultimately this proposal was defeated when placed before the voters of Massachusetts.
