Oration delivered before the legislature of Massachusetts at their request on the hundredth anniversary of the birth of George Washington by Francis C. Gray. Boston : Dutton and Wentworth, 1832. Rev. Gray's speech took 72 pages. He discussed the feelings in the country when Washington died and then presented a history of the man and his times, with special emphasis on the difficulties faced in trying to create a nation from multiple jealous states. Toward the end, he talked some about Washington as a man. Pages 78-80 was a copy of the celebration program--Bible verses and hymns.
