Discourse delivered at the annual election January 4, 1832 before His Excellency Levi Lincoln, Governor, His Honor Thomas L. Winthrop, Lieutenant Governor, the Honorable Council, and the Legislature of Massachusetts by Paul Dean. Boston : Dutton & Wentworth, printers to the State, 1831. [sic] Rev. Dean reminded the group that St. Paul had urged Christians to respect good government. Dean said the new year was a good time to reflect on the advantages and disadvantages of popular government which he proceeded to do for about thirty pages.
