May 1774 Memorial against the Susquehanna claim by Connecticut which was prepared after a meeting of the Committees of Twenty-three towns and presented to the General Assembly. Of note, various handwritten notes were in the margin of this petition and remonstrance. See LLMC #24796 for a related document. At a meeting of the committees of twenty-three towns in this colony at Middletown, on the 30th of March 1774, appointed by their respective towns to confer together on the present alarming situation of this colony, respecting the public measures lately pursued by the honorable General Assembly, respecting Susquehannah matters : and to prepare a petition and remonstrance, to be presented to the next Assembly, which were fully and calmly debated and considered.
