Description and Holding Information
1770, House. Extract of a letter to de Berdt
1770 Extract of a letter from the Massachusetts General Assembly to their agent Dennys De Berdt, as well as included remarks, which were printed in
London. Of note, after assurances that the subjects in the colony had no desire to separate from the King, or that the Parliament and King did not
have power, the letter indicated that they might be misinformed regarding certain matters. Taxes, judges who only report to the king, increased numbers
of crown-officers, and other issues were included in this letter. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the John Carter Brown
Library in Providence, Rhode Island).
