1745-05-31, Seizure of French ship "Vigilant" by P. Warren
May 31, 1745 Proclamation by Governor William Shirley following the capture of the French Man of War, the Vigilant, by Commander in Chief Peter
Warren, during the expedition against Cape Breton. The seamen in that expedition were rewarded with a portion of the prizes from said ship. (Digitized
from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the American Antiquarian Society Library in Worcester, Massachusetts).
