September 18, 1721 Proclamation by Governor Samuel Shute, which ordered that October 26th be a day of thanksgiving for recovery from various
illnesses in the province. Of note, the governor also indicated that too much rain had hurt crops, and threats still remained on the frontiers. (Digitized
