Description and Holding Information
Land Office. Schedules A, B, C and D, 1857
Thirty-sixth Legislature. House. No. 37. On March 25, 1857, Noah Barker, the land agent, in response to a request, sent four land schedules, but did
not have data on the value of the land. Schedule A was unsold land by county. Schedule B was a list of securities in the land office, securities in
the school fund, and bonds for stumpage. Schedule C was cash paid to the land office during 1856. Schedule D showed the money owed Massachusetts
from 1863-1872, usually $25,000 each year. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
Title:   In compliance with an order of the House of Representatives of February 23, I herewith submit the following schedules marked A, B, C and D, embracing the information therein called for.
