Published in two volumes (containing four books) by Bancroft-Whitney Company (San Francisco 1916). cxxiii+2770 p. The first volume includes a preface to this edition; a statement by the editor “Concerning the Commentaries; a Bibliography to the Commentaries; and The Author’s Preface, dated 1765, and a Postscript by the Author, dated 1766. This set includes Book I: The Rights of Persons; II: The Rights of Things; III: Of Private Wrongs; and IV: Of Public Wrongs. Each volume includes a table of contents, Blackstone’s analysis of the Commentaries for each section, a Tabular View of each Book; Appendices; and a General Index to pages in this edition.
