the murder of her brother-in-law, Prince Arthur Freeman, by administering arsenic. The trial lasted six days and resulted in a disagreement of the
jury after deliberating for twenty-four hours. The file includes the arguments made for admitting evidence and the testimony of various witnesses. She
was convicted of murder in the first degree and sentenced to death. An index begins on p.463.)
