1862, Resolutions on boundaries of Virginia
|
|
January 1862 Resolution of the Confederate Congress approving of the Virginia resolution to maintain the integrity of her "ancient" boundaries. Of note, the western portion of Virginia split politically over secession; ultimately West Virginia, which was occupied by Union troops during the Civil War, became a state in 1863. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
