Description and Holding Information
1831, Coshatees and Alibamos-Coahuila and Texas agreements (Sp.) (MS)
1831 Coshatees and Alibamos-Coahuila and Texas agreements, in manuscript and Spanish. A preface in English indicated that these papers were relative
to the permanent establishment of the Coshatees and Alibamos Indian Villages on the east bank of the Trinity and the west bank of the Netchez [i.e.
Neches] Rivers. Includes census data of the tribes at time of settlement on the rivers. Of note, this material has been extracted from the 3rd volume
of the Empresarios' contracts (LLMC 01504t) from the Mexican state of Coahuila and Texas. It was felt that, due to its rarity, it should be given
greater prominence. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles originally held by the Texas Law Library).
