State Engineer. Proposals for leasing the new canal, 1867

: J.O. Nixon, 1867. First were the documents relative to advertising for proposals about the canal. There was a fairly long notice about the
selection of Richard Taylor to repair and manage the canal. There were two lists of payments to be made to the State. A few more pieces related to the
acceptance of Taylor's proposal. On January 18, 1866, the State Engineer sent an evaluation of the condition of the canal with a rough total cost for
repairs.
