Draft manuscript of the Journal of the House. Of note, the initial pages contained a 1871 memorial of women of the state seeking the right to vote.
They were not successful in Nebraska until 1917 when they were allowed to vote in municipal and presidential elections; the legislature passed the
19th amendment in 1919. Also it appeared that the first pages of House record was dated in 1871 rather than the correct 1872. (Digitized from a
microfilm copy of titles originally held the Nebraska Secretary of State's Office).
