1846 Constitution of the State of Wisconsin adopted in convention at Madison on December 16, 1846; also included the enabling acts regarding the
formation of a state government in Wisconsin. Of note, the document would not allow banks of issue in Article X, allowed married women to own property
(Article XIV) and other provisions considered liberal. It was not ratified. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the State
Historical Society of Wisconsin Library).
