**Doc. No. 50 Report of the Colerain, Oxford, and Brookville [Ohio] Turnpike Company. December 31, 1839. The report did not include any detail about expenditures for the turnpike. Hamilton County had obtained an injunction to prevent the company from completing part of the road, but there was no explanation.
**Doc. No. 12 Report of the Colerain, Oxford, and Brookville [Ohio] Turnpike Company. December 10, 1840. Gross expenses for sections of the road were listed in this report. The Ohio Supreme Court had struck down the injunction mentioned in last year's report, so the company completed that section. The entire road would be finished during the upcoming year.
**Doc. No. 23 Report of the Colerain, Oxford, and Brookville [Ohio] Turnpike Company. November 28, 1841. Capital stock actually paid for was $117,580. The amount spent for work so far was over $131,000. Despite estimates, the road was not finished. Tolls were being collected on the finished sections. The Company paid two dividends.
**Doc. No. 16 Report of the Colerain, Oxford, and Brookville [Ohio] Turnpike Company. November 28, 1842. The report included details about the sections not quite completed and lots of information about the money in the hands of receivers. Dividend funds were allocated, but not paid.
**Doc. No. 39 Annual report of the Colerain, Oxford, and Brookville [Ohio] Turnpike Company. November 1844. The road was finished from Cincinnati to Oxford, 31.75 miles, plus some branches. The Company had paid two dividends. The legislature had set up uniform rates of toll based on the weight of the load.
