Report of the Committee of Conference on the part of the House of Representatives on the disagreements of both houses in relation to the
apportionment bill. Baton Rouge : J.M. Taylor, 1859. The Committee for the House could not agree with the Committee for the Senate; the Senate rejected the
House plan. The parishes, their populations, and the number of Senators to which they were entitled were listed. Yeas and nays were called for and
recorded; the plan was approved in the House, as was a resolution to publish the report in the newspapers of the state.
