House. Act fixing the compensation of legislators, 1828
SEE ALSO 51792, 51854 H.R. No. 22 An Act fixing the compensation of Counsellors, Senators, and Representatives and equalizing the expenses of
legislation, 1828. Each person was to receive $2/day while on state business and $2/for each 20 miles travelled. The President of the Senate and the
Speaker of the House each received an extra $2/day. Every jurisdiction entitled to more than one representative that sent more than half of the allowed
number to the State House had to pay back the expenses for the extra people. If a jurisdiction was only entitled to one representative, it still had
