Senate. Act amending an act directing the laying out of highways, 1828
SEE ALSO 51911 Senate No. 2 An Act in addition to an act directing the method of laying out highways, 1828. The Senate stayed with the Highway
Commission in each county model. The Commissioners were to appoint one of their number to be the clerk of the Commission to be paid the same as clerks
of the Court. The Commission was to consider and decide on proposals about roads and how much public money would be put into a project. There were to
be hearings about the projects. The clerk was to take minutes and keep records available for public view. There was provision for appeals to the
Court of Sessions for aggrieved parties. Dates and places for Commission meetings in the entire state were laid out. (Digitized from a microfilm copy
