SEE ALSO 52538,52541, 52588 House No. 11 Memorial of the Marshpee Indians of January 1834. This document had been referred to in some of the previous documents and the themes were also in those documents. The Marshpee fairly vociferously laid out their grievances of being ignored and patronized, while their resources were misappropriated or outright stolen by white people. They did not want their overseers and they especially did not want Rev. Fish and the established church. The Governor sent an investigator in response to this and viewed it as a threat. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
