August 30, 1755 Proclamation of Lt. Governor Robert Hunter Morris ordering an embargo of any ships or other vessels with any provisions, warlike stores or ammunition leaving the province's ports. The order followed advice of the Admiral of the fleet against the French and Council. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of the title originally held by the American Philosophical Society Library).
