June 10, 1774 letter from the Boston Committee of Correspondence to its counterpart in Worcester, encouraging them to not purchase British goods. A
June 13, 1774 response agreed that the enclosed covenant (not included here) was consistent with the Boston position. (Digitized from a microfilm
copy of titles originally held by the American Antiquarian Society Library in Worcester, Massachusetts).
Title:   Worcester June 13th. 1774 : Gentlemen. Many persons in this county conceiving that an agreement not to purchase the goods which are or shall be imported before the 31st. of August next can answer no valuable end ... and as the committee of Boston in their last letter have informed us that they do not mean to dictate to us ... We are of the opinion, that the enclosed covenant is by no means inconsistent with the spirit or intention of the form sent out by them ...
