Amendment to Resolve (House no. 58) in behalf of the gratuitous instruction of the children of the fallen and disabled heroes of the state, proposed by Mr. Farrington of Fryeburg, February 19, 1866. The amendment was a replacement. Whenever needy children of veterans applied for help with their education, the state would pay the school of their choice up to $2,000.
