The Committee on Mercantile Affairs and Insurance submitted: An Act additional to chapter thirty-four of the Revised Statutes, relating to auctions and auctioneers, 1865. Towns could license an auctioneer for one year. If a sale was for an out-of-town client, the auctioneer did not have to deduct two and a half per cent from the gross.
