SEE ALSO 56215 Fortieth Legislature. Senate. No. 12. The Committee on Education submitted: An Act to amend an act for providing normal schools
in the several counties approved March 20, 1860, 1861. The agents in each school were to be paid $100 twice a year. Each term was ten weeks.
Potential students had to pass an examination to join the class and pay $3/term. If a school failed to function for some reason, a ten day institute could
