Thirty-ninth Legislature. Senate. No. 3. Report of the Joint Select Committee on Treasury accounts delivered on January 27, 1860. The Committee
said it had difficulty understanding the books because there was no way for them to know what monies actually came in, but were never recorded in the
books. They could not feel confident they had correct information because of the embezzlement by Mr. Peck. The current Treasurer submitted several
pages of tables showing the credits and debits expected for 1860. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
