Thirty-ninth Legislature. House. No. 20. An Act in relation to the sale of timber on public lands, 1860. The land agent could allot timber cutting permits, but the companies could only employ two six-ox teams for the work. A permit holder could not transfer his permit. There were directions for the money and surveyors were to be hired by the land agent to supervise all aspects of a cutting.
