House. Comm. on Elections. Report on credentials of G.L. Cleaves … 1860
|
|
Thirty-ninth Legislature. House. No. 2. Report of the Committee on Elections re credentials of George L. Cleaves. The meeting for elections was done properly, but two weeks later, someone observed that there was no text in the warrant for the meeting about electing a state representative. The clerk testified he was not aware of the omission until it was called to his attention. The notice in all the newspapers did have the required text, so the Committee decided "no harm, no foul," and seated Mr. Cleaves. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
