Thirty-sixth Legislature. House. No. 28. An Act to amend Chapter one hundred twenty-five of the Revised Statutes and further to provide for the
recording of mortgages of personal property and conditional sales, 1857. This was to apply to values over $30. Mortgages of personal property were only
valid between the original parties; there were rules for redemption. Corporations were to record mortgages in their town of business. (Digitized
