House. Comm. on Elections. Contested election: Cyr v. Dickey, 1857
Thirty-sixth Legislature. House. No. 2 On January 30, 1857, the Committee on Elections reported it could not unanimously decide if William Dickey
was entitled to his seat, so it presented several pages of testimony as to Dickey's residence in the state. Resolve: William Dickey was not entitled to
a seat, but Firmin Cyr was. One committee member thought Dickey was entitled. No decision was recorded. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title
originally held by the Library of Congress).
