House. Comm. on Contested Elections. Case of J.C. Small, 1830
1830 Report of the House Committee on Contested Elections regarding the petition of Phineas S. Bennet protesting the election of Joseph C. Small as
representative from the district composed of the towns of Unity, Burnham and Troy. After review, the committee determined that the election was not in
conformity and thus Small was not entitled to a seat; Bennet should instead be seated. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by
the Maine State Library (c.1) and the Maine Historical Society Library (c.2)).
