1849 Resolutions submitted by Mr. Laidley in honor of those who fell in the Battle of Point Pleasant, on October 17, 1774. Of note, the battle was
the only major action of Dunmore's War, and was fought primarily between Virginia militia and Indians from the Shawnee and Mingo tribes. (Digitized
