1737, Exact abridgment of all the public acts of Assembly of Virginia
An Exact Abridgement of the Public Acts of the Assembly of Virginia, in force and use, together with sundry precedents, adapted thereto, and proper
tables. This collection was compiled by John Mercer and printed in 1737 in Williamsburg. Of note, Mercer had a preface to the readers which explained
the method used to organize this abridgment. Also included was a table of contents of the acts, which listed the heading under which they were
placed, as well as the session that they were passed. See LLMC #22397 for related document. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by
the Library of Congress).
