Arthur Woodnoth's treatise entitled "A short collection of the most remarkable passages from the originall to the dissolution of the Virginia
company," printed in London in 1651. Woodnoth's treatise supported a faction of the Virginia Company leadership (primarily Sir Edwin Sandys) which was in
