Description and Holding Information
True and sincere declaration of the purpose … of Virginia. 1610
Pamphlet entitled, "A true and sincere declaration of the purpose and ends of the plantation begun in Virginia of the degrees which it hath received;
and meanes by which it hath beene advanced: and the resolution and conclusion of his Maiesties councel of that colony, for the constant and patient
prosecution thereof, vntill by the mercies of God it shall retribute a fruitful harvest to the kingdome of heaven, and this common-wealth. Sett forth
by the authority of the gouernors and councellors established for that plantation." This document was authorized by the governor and councilors of the
colony and published in London in 1610. Included was a table of needed requirements for Virginia. A transcript of this document in modern font is
