1861, Doc. 41, Comm. on Officers from U.S. Army & Navy returning to Virginia. Report
Constitutional Convention Document 41, which contained the 1861 Report of the Committee on the officers who are returning from the United States Army
and Navy, following Virginia's secession. The report requested that the Confederate government honor the Virginia ordinance which offered
commissions to these officers, in that some have not yet found military assignment. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the New York
Public Library).
