|

Resolutions submitted by Mr. Bubley on March 16, and Mr. Wilson on March 21, 1861 for the Virginia Constitutional Convention. Bubley's resolution
supported the Union, and declared that "nullification and secession are fallacies and heresies." Wilson proposed a Border State Conference to meet with
slave-holding and non slave-holding states to see if an agreement could be reached. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the
