1775-07-17, Ordinances passed at a Convention
July 17, 1775 ordinances passed at the convention held at Richmond, Virginia. Included was a manuscript index of the various ordinances on the
second page of the document, as well as handwriting summaries of some sections in the margins of the ordinances. Many of the ordinances were in regard to
the militia, manufacture of various arms, Committee of Safety and other elected delegates and officials, as well as other related issues. Of note,
the writers continued to refer to Virginia as "colony." (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Library of Congress).
