House. Report on memorial of the citizens of Wilmington, 1855

1855 Report of the Joint Select Committee regarding the memorial from citizens of Wilmington which requested appropriations to aid their Seamen's Friend Society. The committee agreed with their concerns and made resolutions to pay $5,000 to the trustees of the fund, which would be refund back to the Treasury if General Assembly established a State Marine Hospital in Wilmington. Other resolution included creation of a committee for such hospital, and payment of all unappropriated funds of the Marine Hospital Association of Wilmington to the Seamen's Friend Society.
