January 9, 1845 Inaugural Address of Governor William A. Graham before the North Carolina legislature. Of note, he discussed the failure at times
for non-slave states from returning escaped slaves back to North Carolina, as well as criticism that some states allow (presumably) abolitionists to
have as "their object the subversion of the Government or particular institutions of other States ." (Digitized from a microfilm copy of titles
