Official copies of six documents, dating between 1665 and 1679, from William, Earl of Craven, a Lord Proprietor of Carolina. Lord Craven was one of
the eight members of the English nobility who received a charter from King Charles II to establish the colony of Carolina, and were the ruling
landlords of the colony. The quality of the documents were of varying quality, with some portion destroyed or faint and thus difficult to read. (Digitized
from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Historical Commission of South Carolina).
