1743 Report of the Joint Committee of the South Carolina regarding the failure of the St. Augustine campaign, which was led by General James
Oglethorpe. Of note, he was unsuccessful in two attempts (1740 and 1743) to conquer St. Augustine from the Spanish. The second document is the appendix to
