52426 Possibly in response to the agitation of some of the southern states for a Constitutional Convention, the Constitutions of both Massachusetts
and the United States were printed together for the convenience of legislators. Senate No. 26 A constitution or frame of government agreed upon by
the delegates of the people of the state of Massachusetts Bay in convention begun and held at Cambridge September 1, 1779 and continued until March
1790 with amendments annexed. Boston : Dutton & Wentworth, 1833. From the beginning to page 64 was the Constitution of Massachusetts with a preamble,
thirty articles, the frame of government chapter with the status and election of the legislature, governor, judiciary, and Harvard College laid out.
Nine Articles of Amendment came next, the later tenth amendment, and finally, the eleventh amendment. The United States Constitution was from page
65-86, followed by twelve amendments. (Digitized from a microfilm copy of title originally held by the Massachusetts State Library).
